At RISE Group-VA, our mission is to serve our neighbors with compassion and purpose, feeding the hungry, walking alongside the incarcerated, standing up for vulnerable children, and supporting the unhoused. Rooted in faith, we are called to meet people where they are and help them rise with dignity, hope, and love.
We envision a community where every person is seen, valued, and empowered to thrive regardless of their circumstances. Guided by faith and committed to justice, we strive to build a world where healing is possible, restoration is real, and no one is left behind.

Our Story
RISE Group-VA was founded in 1989 after its founder recognized a gap in the community. Nonprofit leaders were doing meaningful, life-changing work but lacked access to the administrative and financial resources needed to sustain and grow their impact.
What began as a commitment to support organizations through structure, funding guidance, and strategic support soon expanded into direct service. Over time, RISE Group-VA grew to include food distribution and summer meal programs, reentry support for justice impacted individuals, and outreach to people facing crisis and instability.
At its core, RISE Group-VA was built on faith, compassion, and the belief that when those who serve are strengthened, entire communities are strengthened. This work has always been more than programs or services. It is a calling rooted in showing up for people with dignity, consistency, and hope.
